Pests
“Uninvited guests” e.g. flying insects and rodents can be sometimes located in our real properties.
All animals, which cause either physical (e.g. health and/or safety) or aesthetic harm to people in households, yards or in industry, can be classified as pests.
In Finland, the most common household pests are ants, silverfish, wasps, fur beetles and mice. In general, pest population needs to grow rather large (e.g. hornet's nest) before the pests become hazardous to humans.
Even though several handy and useful DIY (do it yourself) methods and pesticides to control pests in your household exist, in many cases DIY pest control becomes a "mission impossible". Therefore it is highly recommended to consult a professional in the business field, like us.
Where do pests come from?
Most of the worst food pests have come to Finland from abroad. Here they have permanently colonized to the different kind of production plants and warehouses. From there, they may transfer through the various stages of the grocery trade (e.g. with products and packaging material), all the way to your home.
More and more pests continuously come to our country along with the imported goods and as the result of extended travelling. However, a lot of pests already live wild in our country and therefore they are transferred to your home in a natural route, for example by flying or by penetrating from outdoors to indoors.
How to recognize pests?
Pests can be at best identified by their distinctive marks. Our identification chart makes it easy for you to identify the most common pests in Finland. By using the (top) menu, you are able to open the page in which the pest is described in more detailed.
If you find it difficult to identify the pest, please send its picture or sample to us and we will identify it for yourself. Please also describe at the same time, where did you found it? After the pest is identified, we are able to design a unique control plan against it.
Pest control plan
In our pest control plan, we describe you e.g. the required pest control times as well as the most efficient and the most suitable control method against the identified pest. At the same time, we plan in close co-operation with you the most suitable pest control schedule. Schedule is designed by using the recommended precautionary times (if needed) by the pesticide manufacturers.
If you require high-quality and highly professional pest control related service or need additional information about them, please contact us. We will help you with pleasure!
